Care and cleaning of shower glass
In order to keep your new shower door glass looking clean and clear it is important to follow these simple cleaning recommendations. If glass is left uncared for it will quickly develop a buildup of residue and mineral deposits making the glass look opaque and cloudy. Without regular cleaning these deposits can become difficult or impossible to remove. For ease of cleaning we recommend the application of Vitroglaze this is a permanent coating applied to the glass that helps to maintain the long term good looks of your shower glass.
Tips:
- Don’t use abrasive cleaners, abrasive sponges or coarse brushes and always check the suitability of cleaners before using
- Liquid soap will leave less residue than bar soap
Routine cleaning
Frequency, each time you use the shower:
- Spray the shower enclosure down with fresh water
- Use a squeegee or towel to remove the water from the glass, this will take away any residues such as leftover soap, lime or calcium before they have time to dry and etch onto the glass
Thorough cleaning
Frequency, every 2 weeks to a month depending on the amount of use and water typ:
- Clean with your chosen cleaning product
- Rinse with fresh water
- Use the squeegee to remove water from the glass
- Glass on the outside of the shower can be cleaned with normal cleaning products
